What should you prepare for today?

If you are parents for little kids, You probably find yourself wondering with that question every evening.

Sometimes we are just tired and wish to finish with dinner as fast as but the hardest part is to decide what meal to prepare.

We have collected some for easy dinner or for kids or for the whole , to add some variety to your menu.


An Omelet

An omelet is usually the easiest choice in our house. I’m preparing for the kids an Omelet or scrambled eggs and adding some salad, cheese cream, and bread or pita and you got the dinner ready in 10 minutes. You can add cheese, tomato, onion or any other addition you like to make it more special.

A Toast

Another Idea for super quick dinner is a toast – with bread, pita or bagel. You add some cheese and your favorite additions as Ketchup, olives, onion, mushrooms or anything you and your kids like. 5 minutes in the toaster or open in the oven and dinner is ready!


I love making patties when the basics of them are usually eggs, grained potato, grained onion, 1 tbs of dijon mustard, salt & pepper,  you mix it all and fry with deep oil (just remember to squeeze away all the liquids from the grained potato and onion) – you can add herbs, cheeses, vegetables, corn or any other things.

Corn Pie / Cheese Pie

What I love to do when I got old cheese in the fridge, I make corn pie or cheese pie, it’s very easy.

You just mix all the ingredients together, put in a hot oven for 20 – 30 minutes and eat.

There are no rules and you can add lots of things, and the amounts don’t have to be precise.

Basic Recipe for cheese pie:

  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup of cream cheese/ Yogurt / sour cream
  • 1 tbs salt
  • a bit of black pepper
  • 1 grained garlic tooth
  • 1 cup of grained hard cheese
  • 1/2 glass of white flour

You mix all the ingredients and then put them into the oiled tray for the oven and cook for 20-30 minutes. You can add more ingredients if you wish.

You can also add some pasta to the ingredients and then you get some version of baked macaroni &  cheese.

Tortillas wraps

Tortillas are a great solution for a fast dinner or breakfast. You can put in them everything whether it’s salad, Omelet, cheese, vegetables, chicken together with all kinds of sauce.

Tortilla filled with fried chicken and vegetables  – you can fry some vegetables such as bell pepper, onion & carrots, some garlic, pepper, and salt.

Pizza Pita /  Pizza on tortilla

Another idea for super easy and super fast dinner is Pizza on Pita bread or Tortilla.

You make pizza sauce from tomato paste, some grained garlic, sugar, salt, pepper plus oregano. You mix it all together, spread on the bread, add some hard cheese grained and bake for 5 minutes in the oven.

 Macaroni & Cheese – Mac & Cheese

One of the easiest, fun dinner for kids and for you when you’re hungry.

You can use the ready mix and I love to upgrade it with some more grained hard cheese such as parmesan, yellow cheese or cheddar cheese. I also add one garlic and then put everything in the oven with breadcrumbs above and bake for 10 minutes in the hot heat.

Pasta with tomato sauce – Pasta Pomodoro

You can make pasta in all kind of variation for dinner but one of the easiest is just pasta with tomato sauce. You cook tomato paste with pepper, salt, some olive oil, sugar, and water. You boil everything together, add the pasta and it’s ready.

Shakshuka Eggs recepee

One of the most interesting ways of Israeli people to eat eggs is Shakshuka.

You make tomato sauce from :

  • 2 tomato cut to cubes in the size of 1 cm
  • 1/2 onion chopped to small cubes
  • 1/2 red bell pepper cut to small cubes
  • 2 garlic tooth
  • 2 spoons of olive oil
  • 1 spoon of Sugar
  • Salt & pepper

You cook in a large pan everything for 5 minutes and let the vegetables get soft. Let it boil and then add 2- eggs above it all with the egg eye as it is.

cover the pan and let it cook for 10 more minutes on low heat, then serve with bread.

You can add eggplant or feta cheese – they are great additions for that.

Cereals with milk (cornflakes)

When I’m really tired a long day, and I don’t have the energy to cook anything, I sometimes offer my kids to have cereals with milk. I try to keep it for breakfast but sometimes you are just tired..


A pancake is a great option for breakfast or dinner, that my kids are always happy to have.

You can find many pancake recipes , I love to upgrade them with some chia seeds which are very healthy and rich with minerals and vitamin, they make the pancake crunchy, you can add banana or raspberries, it goes well with all kind of sweet fruits.

Ravioli / Gnocchi

You can make a fast easy dinner using ravioli or gnocchi with pasta sauce such as pesto, alfredo or Pomodoro. You cook the ravioli in hot water for 5 minutes, add to the sauce, you can add some cheese above and that’s it.

Potato in the oven

One of the tastiest ways to eat potatos is too cut them into cubes and put them in the oven for 15 minutes. You can add spices of all kind.

Tuna Salad

If you’re into tuna fish from a can, you can make a great salad together with boiled egg and picles when all is cut into cubes. You can add mayonnaise if you like or just some olive oil.
